The Constitution of Nepal 2072 BS has the right to information for all Nepali citizens and aims to provide fast and efficient service through its electronic system. Government offices seem to be moving forward with the idea of ​​providing information in a fast, accessible, efficient and accurate manner using information technology for their operations.

As soon as the constitution of Nepal established the Three layers government and federalism, the laws including the Provincial  Government Operation Act 2074 have been formulated and implemented.

Provincial Center for Good Governance (PCGG) Bagmati organized 3 day Information Technology (IT) Officers on IT systems, government cloud, and servers at Nuwakot targeting to the 22 participants including men (4) and women (18).

Provincial Training Academy (PTA)/ Provincial Center for Good Governance (PCGG), Lumbini Province organized a consultative workshop for ITOs working in LGs. The objective of the workshop was to discuss on current challenges of ICT related tasks in LGs, identify capacity needs of ITOs and provide some technical skills to them.  The workshop was organized in three clusters (Cluster 1 and 2 in Rupendehi, Butwal from 17-20 January and Cluster 3 in Dang, Goharahi from 26-27 January) two days each. Total of 106 IT officers and Technical person participated form 106 Local Governments.

Two days GESI Mainstreaming training has been conducted on 26 - 27 January, 2021 at Hotel Triyuga, Itahari in participation of 34 participants (elected representatives and government officials) from Itahari Sub-Metropolitan. The disaggregated data of the participant shows 16 women and 18 men. Among them 17 are from Janajati, 12 from Brahmin/Chhetri, 4 from Dalit, and 1 from Madhesi community.

Two days GESI Mainstreaming training has been conducted on 24 – 25 January, 2021 at Hotel Asiatique, Biratnagar in participation of 32 participants (elected representatives and government officials) from Biratnagar Mahanagarpalika. The disaggregated data of the participant shows 17 women and 15 men. Among them 15 are from Brahmin/Chhetri, 8 from Dalit, 7 from Janajati and 2 from Madhesi community.
